Minara Resources has an opportunity for a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our established and dedicated team. Minara Resources is Australia's largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA's northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the maintenance and mechanical engineering of our complex process plant. You will be responsible for: Support the plant operation by providing mechanical engineering support and advice to operations and maintenance personnel as required Completing inspections and scoping repairs to tanks, pressure vessels and piping, minor structural issues and various mechanical equipment Support Operational and Maintenance teams by providing timely engineering information and solutions Improve equipment reliability through application of sound engineering practices Delivering engineering projects within cost and time budgets About You This role would suit a team player who is motivated to strive in their career within a complex multifaceted plant environment. You will also have: Tertiary degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Practical, hands-on engineering experience (Ideally in a similar environment, with prior trade or operational experience highly regarded) Exposure to the pace and requirements of shut-down maintenance and repairs Experience preparing work packs for repairs and modifications to plant equipment Prior FIFO experience (Advantageous) Attention orientated and be driven to provide solutions across a vast scope.
