You will be responsible for: Providing daily technical support to MMO operations to ensure safety, production and cost targets are achieved Investigating process deviations and implement effective corrective actions Identifying opportunities for improvement and implement small projects Providing effective offsite escalation over weekends Leading and mentoring a small team of engineers and graduate engineers Identifying hazards and implement corrective actions Investigating process safety incidents and implement corrective actions Preparing technical reports to a professional standard Developing and maintaining process engineering standards and safe working procedures About You This role will suit an experienced hands-on Process Engineer with a proven operational track record who is seeking a career path to Process Engineering Superintendent and the successful candidate will be placed on a career development plan aimed towards this role. To be successful in this role it is essential that you not only have a strong technical background but also a dynamic personality focused on building good working relationships. The following qualifications and competencies are essential: Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering or equivalent metallurgical degree. Minimum of 10 years plant experience. Hydrometallurgical or complex processing plant experience will be an advantage. Demonstrated operational track record (excluding commissioning experience). Proficient at preparation of technical reports. Proficient at problem solving. Previous supervisory experience will be highly regarded.
