With offices around the globe, we're on a mission to be the biggest gaming company in the world Due to major growth we are expanding our Data Science team in Sydney and currently looking for an Machine Learning Ops Engineer to join the team. In this role you will Lead the technical aspects and hands-on management of operationalized models, leveraging extensive expertise to oversee daily operations. Minimize the risk of downtime, enhance current processes, and optimize model scalability for future resilience. Key responsibilities will include: Enhancing the scalability, speed, and performance of existing and prototyped models, while identifying gaps and inefficiencies in workflow processes. Collaborating with embedded Data Scientists/Engineers to resolve issues and standardizing the model delivery and maintenance process. Leading the development and ownership of model monitoring capabilities, ensuring ongoing visibility into model performance and workflow alerts to mitigate downstream risks. Establishing and maintaining a scalable MLOps framework aligned with the maturity model, supporting Data Scientist needs through comprehensive processes, including ongoing model onboarding, operations, decommissioning workflows, monitoring for data drift, implementing retraining practices, managing version control and governance for models, and overseeing data archiving. Coaching and mentoring fellow team members in applying frameworks and adopting best practices. What you will bring to the role: >5 years experience in a MLOps, software or machine learning engineering role Hands on expertise with Databricks Displays a strong understanding of deploying, and maintaining machine learning models Displays a strong understanding of computer science/engineering fundamentals and first principles from system design, data structures to design patterns Proficiency using: Terraform, SQL, Python and PySpark Able to lead meetings, clearly communicate technical approach, status, assess and mitigate risk About VGW VGW has been disrupting the online gaming world since 2010 and we're only getting started.
