With an expanding portfolio of projects, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer - Urban Development, to join our South Queensland Urban Development team, with 4-5 years' experience, who has the desire to work alongside highly experienced industry professionals. You will be responsible for the preparation of civil designs for these projects and will have exposure to AutoCAD and 3D modelling software for design development. You will apply your skills to assist in the design and detailing of all aspects of civil works including earthworks, roadworks, PUP / services coordination, and stormwater design. You will have an aptitude for resolving complex site constraints within the operational parameters required of such facilities. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you: Conduct detailed design calculations, design verification and work with designers to deliver and manage medium to large scale urban development projects (roads, stormwater, lot development and PUP) Utilise modelling software (Drains, 12D, Civil 3d) to develop conceptual to construction designs for bulk earthworks, stormwater networks and remediation works on a range of civil infrastructure projects. Respond to RFIs during all stages of design (concept to construction) and communicate clearly and effectively any design or construction issues requiring clarification/rectification in a timely manner. Deliver high quality reports (design and technical) which can be read by both stakeholders and fellow engineers, that demonstrate the intent, development, safety, risks and standards adopted for all stages of design. Manage safety in design during all stages of development and communicate with fellow engineers on ways to eliminate, mitigate or control engineering design decisions based on the client's needs, constructability, costs and practicality. What you will bring to the team: Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, with 4-5 years' relevant experience. Direct knowledge and design experience of the components of urban development, general road, and civil infrastructure. Experience in managing the design and documentation of urban development, road, and general civil infrastructure projects. Ability to coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources. Experience in stormwater design packages (e.g. 12D drainage, MUSIC, PC Drain, DRAINS). Experience in sewer design packages (e.g. 12D sewer, PC Sewer). Exposure to 3D design modelling packages (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D). AutoCAD capability in drafting and detailing civil projects. Job Management, client relationship management and project delivery skills. An eye for detail with a strong focus on the production of quality outputs. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
