About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Integration & PLM Project Manager to join our Hunter Class Delivery Team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA. Reporting to the Head of Engineering Delivery, the successful applicant will be the key focal point for cross-functional PLM & Engineering issues impacting engineering's ability to deliver a design outcome through into Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Support (ILS). The incumbent will be a strong problem solver with excellent collaboration and leadership skills, able to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to resolve issues, including interfacing with the various customer stakeholders and the wider Maritime enterprise (UK & AU) as required. The incumbent will also call upon their experience and expertise to positively influence strategy on the Engineering Digital Thread. This will include leading the strategy for PLM capability enhancements and resolution of PLM related issues impacting on Engineering Delivery. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. Key responsibilities include: Developing and leading the strategy for delivery of PLM Capability Enhancements into Engineering Acting as a focal integration point for all PLM related issues, driving resolution through AU IM&T, UK PLM CC and Engineering Project Managing PLM Capability enhancements where implementation requires cross-functional enablement Monitoring and reporting on PLM related issues impacting Engineering Delivery Conducting Risk assessments, business impact assessments, generate business cases etc where required to ensure a 'best for program' view on PLM enhancements and issues resolution. Representing Engineering at the PLM Steering Board Establishing a joint BAESMA / CoA / NCB / MIWS forum to address weekly Technical Issues preventing progression of the design About YOU Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Engineering (desirable) Demonstrated experience in a project or business management role within the engineering or IT sector will be advantageous Previous experience successfully managing a diverse team Demonstrated knowledge of project management and problem solving principles Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite of programs We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidate hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
