About the Role We are looking for early to mid-career Project Engineers interested in working in a highly collaborative environment to deliver a portfolio of projects that can include gathering networks, wellhead surface facilities and associated infrastructure safely, on time and on budget. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and monitoring FEED, delivering detail design and execution through collaboration with stakeholders, Development Leads, and established contractors. Accountabilities for this role are to be delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities include: Providing visible safety leadership and ensuring project delivery is in line with our value 'Always Safe' Overseeing the management of concept design work through to execution and handover to Operations Ensuring that projects are delivered in such a manner that all internal and applicable regulatory, safety and environmental standards and requirements are satisfied; properly scoped, engineered, planned, and approved Building strong and productive relationships with external engineering and execution contractors to ensure delivery is aligned with business objectives with respect to schedule, budget and quality Ensuring that all vendor data, design and operational information is obtained, reviewed and distributed to Operations in a timely manner Performing regular site visits to establish strong connections to the field workforce, review and advise on progress, risk mitigation, and improve operational efficiency Driving continuous improvement to the design and project implementation process Ensuring that all engineering and planning is performed in a structured manner that complies with Australian Standards, Santos procedures and safety systems About You We are seeking tertiary qualified civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineer with: RPEQ qualified (preferable) 3 - 5yrs relevant experience a passion for teamwork and project execution an entrepreneurial, can-do and innovative mindset the ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the organisation Whilst not essential for the role, experience in the oil & gas, utilities, mining and resource sectors is desirable to ensure a solid understanding of industry standards and best practice. Experience using large project-based systems; Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
