Through the Console Connect portal or via its API, users can access a broad range of native and third party solutions Title: Senior Software Engineer (Javascript/Typescript) Role Overview In this role, the Senior Software Engineer is exposed to the entire product stack and works with our globally distributed team, from refining requirements through to integration testing from our web platform products. In addition, the Senior Software Engineer is fully engaged (hands on) in the day to day product development activities, gaining the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of product components and features, analyzing and decomposing the features, turning wireframes and sketches into working prototypes and translating prototypes into launch ready code Develop robust APIs for use in frontend components and backend systems Complete features and bug fixes using the test driven development process and participate in code review Participate in product usability, security, architecture, and documentation reviews Contribute to Agile SCRUM activities such as daily standup, sprint planning and retrospective meetings Work closely with our Network Engineers to develop creative solutions and rapid prototypes that take into consideration the technical, organizational, schedule and business requirements Develop frontend components that ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development process Work closely with our Quality Engineers to conduct usability and accessibility review for products and define usability requirements Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve code quality and development process efficiency Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Passionate about web development and the latest trends in the Javascript community A natural at collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines and backgrounds Flexible and change resilient, with a 'can-do' approach Experience with mentoring junior engineers Focused on delivery, with a commitment to quality, innovation and continuous improvement A proactive developer involved in the wider developer community / open source projects A strong command of modern web technologies including frontend and backend web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, React and Node.js Experience with relational and no-sql databases such as PostgesQL and MongoDB 5 years experience in developing Node.js full stack application with a focus on performance and scalability Previous experience in accurately estimating and scoping design and development work accomplishing goals in a cross functional, multi-cultural team Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, tools, and defect tracking systems Ref ID: 49262 Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU Business Unit: PCCW Global Full Time/ Part Time: Full Time Job Function: Technology Featured Job Category::
