THE ROLE Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia. Origin are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the growing Future Fuels team. This position provides project management expertise support for early stage Future Fuels development projects. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for project management services for multiple early stage development projects through the initial phases of project development (Assess/Select) and ensuring scopes, tasks, reporting and decision making are aligned with project outcomes. Activities include: scope development, project management, interface and risk management, delivery and execution model strategy development, tendering/negotiations, contract management and reporting to deliver successful scopes and realise value. This role is a key project role that interfaces with internal project teams and externally to our technology and project partners and ensures these collaborative relationships deliver to the project scope, schedule, budget and risk profile, safely. More about the role: > Project management support for early stage (pre-FEED) development projects (Assess and Select) > Identify and manage delivery of scopes (including their viability and risk), engineering and studies through project development phases including interfaces between scopes and external parties > Adhere to project management framework requirements including creation of project management documentation, scope documentation, technical instructions, bid/tender evaluation and reporting deliverables > Co-ordinate procurement processes including engagements and evaluations with delivery partners and vendors > Monitor and prepare clear written reports and presentations, including technical information, project schedule, cost, scope, risk, quality, and performance against targets to meet business requirements > Management of internal and external stakeholders > Demonstrate HSE leadership through implementation of Origin HSE culture/initiatives, intervention, reporting and responsible decision making > Assist Development Manager with creation of scope, identification of project responsibilities, establishment of key performance indicators > Verification of project deliverable compliance with company, industry and national legislation, codes, and standards > Facilitate compliance, quality assurance/control of project deliverables > Facilitate constructability/design assessment, hazard/risk assessments, change management (MOC, PCN, DCN), investigations > Lead other project team members > Act as a project delivery focal point ABOUT YOU You will have demonstrated stakeholder management experience, alongside strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
