u&u are excited to be partnering with an Australian based commercial organisation in finding a Senior Systems Engineer who is keen to progress their Cloud & DevOps journey. This role also has the potential to be Permanent or Contract depending on your preference. About the role: This role will be responsible for the administration and management of IT Infrastructure along with the development, maintenance and support of core infrastructure. As part of the organisation's Cloud-first strategy, this role will also focus on creating a cloud-enabled environment in AWS & Azure and new ways of working based on DevOps principles. This role will be responsible for: Ensuring systems are patched, updated and upgraded to the most appropriate levels; Developing procedures, instructions, standards and other documentation required to support the server environment; Providing valuable contributions to daily operations, operational planning and delivering project outcomes; Actioning assigned tasks, ensuring incidents and requests are resolved or completed within agreed service level agreements; Being on call as and when required and you ensure emergency issues are managed; Participating in server upgrades and other general maintenance tasks; Monitoring new releases and patches to operating systems and make recommendations on implementation and testing strategies; and Continuously developing and improving services and processes you are responsible for. About you: Ideally we are looking for someone with the following experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in an IT Infrastructure specialist role; Minimum of 2 years of Cloud experience; Experience managing Microsoft Defender, Defender for O365 and Zscaler; Extensive knowledge of managing M365 environment, including Exchange, Intune, Teams, MFA and conditional access; Experience in supporting a large and complex 24 x 7 production environment and extensive experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of server infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies; Extensive experience in the management of Windows & RedHat Servers; Experience in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and software-based firewalls; Excellent understanding of and an in-depth technical knowledge of; AD; DHCP; and DNS; Excellent understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning; Developing technical designs for on premise, hybrid & Cloud environments; Previous experience operationally managing digital platforms with Cloud environments; and Experience with common automation pipeline tools and technology with emphasis on automating Windows systems environment.
