Multiple permanent opportunities now available on a national basis for experienced Telco Project Engineers who want to be part of a huge project $$$ Rubix Solutions places a range of Telecommunications, Engineering, Planning, Design and Project Management professionals into roles across Australia and New Zealand’s wireless and fixed-line networks. We are a trusted resource supplier for several large companies working on NBN and Telstra networks, creating opportunities for thousands of individuals and subcontractors. Your main role involves overseeing and coordinating construction and integration activities for both fixed wireless and 5G site projects. This encompasses ensuring the feasibility of designs, creating build plans, procuring materials, engaging field resources, obtaining permits, managing site-level budgets, and supervising site build activities. Additionally, you will be involved in post-construction coordination and managing handover packs. KEY DUTIES: Oversee the entire build process, covering build plans, cost, contractor engagement, materials, permits, and handover packs. Understand site design and acquisition processes, with a focus on Safety in Design during SAED phase constructibility reviews. Examine For Construction drawings, generate scope of work documents, and develop Bills of Materials (BoMs) for quotation from Construction Partners. Evaluate returned quotations. Collaborate closely with Field teams to organise start dates, site inductions, inspections, material delivery, and resolve site design and construction issues. Establish and maintain contacts with Clients, subcontractors and Suppliers Preparation of internal and external reports Updating of roll-out tools and spreadsheets Internal and external problems escalation Organisation of design activities including site surveys and study of specifications and new equipment Preparation of EME documentation, quotes & budget Preparing Site Safety Plans and scope of works Ordering materials and managing deliveries of equipment Planning construction activities Ensure project activities adhere to "Right First Time" principles and instigate continuous improvement as needed. Identify defects and coordinate rectification before submitting handover packs. Promote a culture of safe working practices and attitudes. YOUR PROFILE: Extensive experience as a Deployment Engineer/Project Engineer in large-scale wireless telecommunications construction projects. Demonstrated expertise in designing, constructing, and integrating Australian Telecommunications Carriers networks, especially NBN and Telstra. Familiarity with 4G and 5G equipment, including BTS, RRUs, antennas, and feeder systems. Mandatory experience with Ericsson equipment. Proven track record in subcontractor management. Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines. Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively as a team member.
