Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Process Engineering Superintendent to join our established and dedicated Utilities team. Minara Resources is Australia's largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA's northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for leading the area process engineering team to effectively support the business in delivering safety, production, quality and cost targets. You will be responsible for: Leading the process engineering team to identify process excursions early and formulate solutions Developing effective systems and procedures to ensure that the relevant area of responsibility is operated safely and at full capacity within defined process parameters Ensuring compliance to Management of Change (MoC) process and timely closeout of approved projects Analysing the performance of plant against process KPI's and implement action plans or initiate projects to address recurring deviations Providing guidance and mentoring to process and senior process engineers Reviewing expenditure on a monthly basis and ensuring all variances to budget are investigated and explained About You This role would suit a superintendent that will embody a blend of technical expertise, leadership qualities and have the strategic vision to drive operation excellence at Murrin Murrin. You will also have: A Tertiary Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar engineering discipline At least 5 years' experience in the mineral processing, chemical or petrochemical industries Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role Sound communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes and engender the confidence of internal customers and peers A deep knowledge of systems engineering principles and a track record of successfully implementing complex solutions A passion for mentoring and leading teams, with a focus on cultivating a high-performance culture What We Offer We offer a diverse range of opportunities across our multi-pit mining operations through to our complex and technically challenging hydrometallurgical process plant.
