We are currently seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to join our high performing AME team in Melbourne. As an AME at Jetstar, you will carry out aircraft maintenance in accordance with Jetstar Airlines 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), Jetstar Safety Management System (SMS), Maintenance Control & Procedures Manual, Company Policies and Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulatory requirements. About our Engineering Team The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times. Our Melbourne Precinct As part of our investment in our future, we have launched the Melbourne Engineering Precinct, which is the main maintenance hub of our network. Our engineers are uniquely placed to enjoy a career that sees them developing skills across all functional areas of maintenance - line, intermediate and base activity. Our team also has the opportunity to work not only on Jetstar fleet, but customer aircraft - A320/21, A330, B717, B737 and A321 Freighter. The Opportunity Your new role as an AME will see you deliver quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to. This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability and service. To succeed in this role, you will need to: Have completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills, with previous A320/321 experience desirable Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Have experience in Base Maintenance Have a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives Have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and Hold a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence Leadership qualities, a strong work-ethic and an inclusive mindset are valued attributes, that will provide you with opportunities to extend yourself further within Jetstar.
