About the role The Financial Markets division of a leading Big 4 Australian Bank is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated engineer to join the established FX team. This team plays a crucial role in providing trading and risk management capabilities across a diverse range of FX products, serving clients globally 24/7. Day to day you will be Take ownership of ongoing analysis of business needs and contribute to the continuous development of the Calypso software implementation. Collaborate with business stakeholders, users, IT specialists, and external suppliers to ensure the system aligns with business objectives. Utilize Java within an Object-Oriented environment to develop and enhance large-scale software solutions. Apply Agile software development principles and methodologies to optimize the FX system's performance. We are looking for Expertise in Java development A strong understanding of Calypso software, with experience in developing financial systems for Investment/Institutional Banks. Solid experience in FX, FX Options, and Commodities is highly preferred. Familiarity with Spring and Hibernate frameworks. Proficient in Unix scripting. Academic background in technology, engineering, or statistical/mathematical analysis.
