About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Quality & Governance Engineer to join our Hunter Class Program based at Osborne - SA or Melbourne - VIC, reporting to the Engineering Manager - Quality. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. You will be responsible for contributing to the designation, roll out, implementation and management of a standardised and measurable approach to data quality and governance across the product lifecycle initially within Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) but with scope to expand elsewhere within BAE Systems Australia - Maritime. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the delivery of the Data Governance/Assurance framework to the HCFP The implementation the Data Governance Framework, Quality Management and Assurance initiatives including the identification and training of product data owners and stewards Monitor the delivery of the Data Management Improvement plan to ensure responsible areas are addressing identified capability deficiencies to allow the business to achieve required maturity levels Development of measures for assessing the benefit to the business of data governance and assurance, periodically measuring the effectiveness and feeding back on this Raise awareness of data governance and assurance through the development of communication and training packages for delivery across the business Resolving and managing Data Quality issues to closure About YOU A professional background in a similar role within the STEM sector for large enterprise Tertiary qualification in Engineering is desirable Knowledge in utilising data governance toolsets, MS Office & Visio Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV-1 Clearance Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
