The company has a modern stack of Microsoft D365 technologies and invest heavily in technology as a strategic enabler. This role will be a permanent role based at their headquarters in Macquarie Park. There will be parking on-site provided for the successful candidate, or alternatively their office is walking distance from all major public transport links. This is particularly the case with this role, which will work across various business streams and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Your New Role: You'll design and implement cloud and "as a service" solutions encompassing automation and orchestration. You'll drive innovation through emerging technologies, manage and lead change and will lead technical discussions and be a SME in Azure cloud platforms. You'll continually improve the Azure platform environment (plus M365 stack). You'll ensure adoption of DevOps framework within the team and mentor junior members of the team. You'll configure deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps) and deliver improvements on existing application systems. You'll also: Maintain awareness of cloud service offerings as well as business and customer usage and emends, then plan to optimise the consumption of cloud services; Provide detailed, specialist technical advice on Azure platform management; Plan and manage infrastructure requirements to meet future demand; Ensure platforms meet desired service standards and any issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner; and Liaise with all related infrastructure teams in achieving quality, fit for purpose designs. Your background and experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer role, with strong skills in Azure; Demonstrated experience with "as a service" principles including automation, orchestration and related hardware; Hands on experience with Azure cloud architectures, with proven deployments of cloud solutions; Excellent working knowledge of IT systems environments - operating systems, applications, platforms and databases; and Experience in the implementation of CI/CD and Azure DevOps highly regarded.
