Given our continued success and growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Graduate Information, Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering (ITEE) Engineer within the Joint Battlespace Systems (JBS) product line on the Woomera Test Range Support Services (WTRSS) Program. The Woomera Test Range, located in South Australia, is the world's largest overland test environment, comparable to the size of England, and is one of Australia's most critical national security assets. Key Responsibilities: The Graduate ITEE Engineer is responsible for providing requirements, design, verification, and validation support to the assigned project. The Graduate Engineer will utilise their experience and develop their knowledge in the project, taking cognisance of cost and schedule constraints whilst ensuring adherence to processes. The role requires you to work with various equipment technologies such as Command and Control, Communications and Networks, Radars, Optical Tracking, and Telemetry Systems. Predominantly, the role requires you to develop engineering design changes that are focused on the Information Communications Technologies (ICT) discipline, such as Microsoft Windows Server, RedHat, and Cisco. Travel will be required within Australia including Woomera, and possibly internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Requires a University Degree in Engineering, in a relevant discipline. Requires introductory knowledge of Systems Engineering. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Computer literacy including the use of systems engineering tools, Windows and RedHat operating systems, and the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Works under general supervision and follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Design and building IT environments in compliance with the defence Information Security Manual (ISM). Communication Networks experience highly desirable. Radar/Optics experience is desirable. Demonstrated experience within a Defence environment is desirable.
