The Role: This is an exciting new career for an entry level ILS Engineer, where your unique skills will see you providing key advice and services in support of Guided Missile Destroyer Combat System Integrator (DDG CSI) engineering activities. The ILS Engineer performs a variety of engineering analysis and modelling tasks relating to the reliability, maintainability, and availability for the DDG Combat system products. The role provides support to development, verification, production and in-service support of systems, products, and components. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Gain an understanding of a variety of modelling and analysis that relates to (but is not limited to) the reliability, maintainability, and availability of systems, products, and components. - Provide design input to the logistics database records and assist in the development and enhancement of the tools. - Assist with planning logistics capability and support infrastructure enhancements. - Assist with the development and implementation of system performance metrics, and conduct system and/or product level performance analysis. - Assess, monitor, and report on support progress for assigned activities, and ensure any logistics support issues are advised to relevant persons / parties. - Prepare and present modelling and analysis findings, providing recommendations where required. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: - Requires a University Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical, or equivalent experience. - Ideally possess a practical knowledge of Defence projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
