Reliability Engineer, Mobile Maintenance Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You'll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. About the role: Reporting directly to the Sr Reliability Engineer the Reliability Engineer will play a key role in the efficient and effective management of McArthur River Mine's mobile assets. Working closely with a range of stakeholders you will be primarily responsible for identifying how assets may fail, the implications of asset downtime and management strategies to minimize asset downtime relating to McArthur River's mobile assets and plant. Accountabilities: Analyses and utilize maintenance and asset condition/performance data. Critical spare parts analysis and spare parts management for mobile equipment Document and implement engineering solutions in line with McArthur River Mine's Change Management process. Sound knowledge in statutory compliances and relevant Australian standards and their applications within the Northern Territory Conduct quarterly reviews with department asset owners and financial teams on asset health, cost, and emerging issues. Plan performance evaluation assessments. Responsible to run Defect Elimination Process through conducting root cause analysis. Develop proactive maintenance procedures. Review newly installed plant and equipment reliability performance. Create and monitor life cycle asset management plans, to help MRM procure the right assets, implement effective maintenance protocols and dispose of assets safely and correctly. Find new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability. Successful applicant will have: A Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Mechanical or Electrical. Certificate III Engineering with post trade experience. Extensive experience within the Mining Industry Demonstrated experience in Mobile Equipment within a complex maintenance environment, including working with trade staff, and OEM suppliers. Understanding of Asset Management and O&M principles and standards Experience in the use of maintenance management systems -competencies and high aptitude in the use of similar computer IT application such as SAP, Ellipse, Microsoft Project, Excel etc. Demonstrated history of developing and leading an improvement plan(s) with respect to asset management.
