Parklife JV is looking to appoint an ambitious System and Network Engineer to be a part of our major project About Us: Working in partnership with the NSW Government, the Parklife Metro consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney. Comprising, Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens and Webuild, the private sector partners are looking to build their metro rail expertise to deliver this city-shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership model and will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney. We are currently looking to appoint a System and Network Engineer to work within the IT team reporting to the IT Manager. Duties & Responsibilties: Responsible to maintain and administer IT infrastructure, systems, software, applications (M365, Azure, Hybrid storage, Hosting, etc). Responsible for Level 2 support (configuration and change implementation), to enable level 1 support (knowledgebase and education) and escalation to 3rd parties as required (bugs, customization) of IT core services. Assist as part of the problem management process in the resolution of technical/security related issues and where appropriate take ownership of response and remediation plan. Assisting and supporting Service Desk team and activities (Service request/Incident Mgmt.) and ensuring timely solution of the problems. Work on daily basis with team to guide in operations and implementing Company goals Responsible to establish and maintain asset management practices including licensing and SLAs Enforce the security policy and compliance with project and corporate security requirements across the whole infrastructure including networks Responsible for Managing information technology platforms (Microsoft365, AzureAD), firewall and networking Oversee and support hands-on the IT installations during mobilisation to construction site offices in Western Sydney Supporting Teams with Testing and maintaining equipment such as Projectors, ViCo systems, printers & plotters etc Design and implement technical solution to satisfy business requirements (e.g. Sharepoint sites, SSO/SAML, storage, etc) Maintain and administer network and perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detections systems (e.g. Meraki ) Authoring of documentation/training material for both IT and business Report on Improvement of performance and policy implementation to IT Operations Manager as required. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field At least 5 years of experience in systems and network engineering Extensive knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, and vulnerability assessments Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment.
