Job Description: As a Cyber Security Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of customers systems and products. You will be responsible for integrating robust cybersecurity measures into systems while ensuring they meet the highest standards of security accreditation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering coupled with extensive experience in cybersecurity practices. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity features into systems design and architecture. Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement security controls and measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Perform security accreditation of systems, ensuring they meet relevant cybersecurity requirements and standards. Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture. Provide technical guidance and support to teams during the development and implementation of cybersecurity solutions. Participate in incident response activities and contribute to the resolution of security incidents and breaches. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Current Australian Security Clearance, NV1 or above preferred. Proven experience in systems engineering, preferably in a cybersecurity-focused role. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and standards. Hands-on experience with security accreditation processes and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, etc.). Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.
