In your role as Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for the engineering and people management within one of our high performing mobile application squads inside Nine Product & Technology. You'll play a vital role in helping your team grow their skills professionally while delivering the product roadmap for a best-in-class news experience for millions of Australians. Enabling your team Work with stakeholders to provide technical solutions to problems or issues Act as a enabler, removing roadblocks to progress as needed Maintain high quality standards for yourself and software engineering practices of your team Work with team members to guide solutions towards business and technology goals Drive the continuous improvement of processes and ways of work to improve team capacity and capability Technical Leadership Drive adoption of best practice and ensuring engineering decisions align with the project and product engineering strategy Remove single points of failure by cross-skilling staff Drive high performance Establish and maintain a highly motivated and high performance team culture through one on one feedback, mentoring, coaching and performance management Communicate openly and be the voice of the business within your team, keeping them informed of and working towards the business vision & goals Effectively lead people processes including the hiring of new talent
