About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Platform Monitoring and Controls (PM&C) Engineer to join our program based at Osborne, reporting to the (PM&C) Engineering Manager. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of significant aspects of engineering activity within the Hunter Class Platform Management & Control team to ensure defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and cost. You will collaborate with various teams within the program, engage with a diverse range of platforms and new systems, and gain knowledge across different domains in a role that supports your development. Key responsibilities include: Manage PM&C Hunter system requirements and variations from T26 system Assess technical feasibility and risks/opportunities of equipment designs Develop interface specifications and designs meeting customer standards and regulations Collaborate with OEMs to define solutions and subsystem interfaces Supervise Physical Integration into the Wholeship 3D model and PMS compartments Coordinate integrated Bill of Materials (iBOM) creation for PM&C Systems Prepare specifications, designs, and conduct appraisals to maintain quality and technical standards About YOU Demonstrated minimum 2 years of experience within the Engineering discipline with prior exposure to technical development and engineering systems design Bachelors of Engineering or equivalent Understanding of Systems Engineering practices and Engineering best-practice methods as applied to the development of military equipment and services Experience in effective use of Engineering Process, Methods, Tools and Infrastructure such as Jira, DOORS etc. Communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with a broader project team within the program Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
