About the Job We are currently seeking a Senior Risk and Safety Engineer, with 8 years of experience in oil and gas to work on a range of oil and gas, and energy transition projects. These typically involve support to major Technip Energies onshore and offshore projects, support to Genesis multi-discipline project and direct support to Genesis clients. General responsibilities include the following: Delivery of Risk and Safety consultancy advice and technical studies, in line with applicable standards and regulations. Development of Safety Cases and Safety Case Revisions for clients. Facilitation of Risk and Safety Workshops (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, Bow-tie, ALARP, etc.). Preparation of quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, and Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) studies, including both undertaking assessments and leading, and coaching other engineers, as well as conducting reviews and approvals. Implementation of oversight by others of risk and safety modelling tools such as PHAST, FLACS, BowTieXP, others. Project Management including development and implementation of project plans, resource control, budget control, schedule control and project report. General mentoring and guidance of other less experienced safety engineers as required. Business Development and proposal generation, in collaboration with Senior Staff. The successful candidate(s) will work across a range of interesting oil and gas, and energy transition projects, taking responsibility for applying their engineering skills to analyse problems, provide advice and make a difference to the safety performance of oil and gas facilities. The person will work alongside highly experienced engineers functioning as effective teams, sharing knowledge and working together to deliver effective solutions for Genesis clients. About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering Languages: English (Fluent) A passion for Risk and Safety, within a consultancy setting. Approximately 8 years of experience. Interest in mentoring young engineers. Experience in risk and safety engineering on oil and gas projects, including fire and explosion risk analysis and Formal Safety Assessments. Experience in Safety Cases (writing and reviewing). Desire and ability to take on new challenges, and gain skills and experience in Risk and Safety work. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
