This is the chance to join right as the takes off. More About the Role at Hatch We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 5 years of experience to expand our Engineering Team. Specifically someone with a background in building data-driven products. You'll architect and build the backbone of our data-driven solutions, collaborating with PMs and Data Scientists, and your co-engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable backend systems. Your work will be pivotal in enhancing our data processing, analytics capabilities, and driving innovation in our product. What you’ll be responsible for: - Developing scalable robust, high-performing and scalable backend systems - Collaborating with Data Scientists, PMs, and Marketers to build and manage cloud-based data infrastructure, pipelines, and MLOps platforms. - Monitoring system performance, and optimising backend scalability and efficiency with advanced tech - Mentoring junior team members, code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge sharing - Having a team first mindset, and putting the needs of the team above your own Technologies You'll Work With: - Microservices and Event Driven System - TypeScript, NodeJs and Python - Databases, Caching and Vector Database(pgvector) is a plus - Data Pipeline and ETL Processes, DBT experience is a plus - Deploy ML/AI models: Work, design and deploy with ML/AI pipelines in a production environment.
