Our Opportunity To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Power are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our design and manufacturing facility in Thornton, NSW. The Role As a Structural engineer you will be able to perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering. You will be able to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptions and modifications. Other requirements are: Demonstrated Expertise in structural engineering within a dynamic project and manufacturing setting. Able to prepare and verify design calculations manually or using tools like Space Gass, RAPT, or Strand7. Lead and review certification of calculations, assessments and designs for structures like switch rooms and electrical substations. Ensure structural engineering analysis and designs adhere to Australian standards, collaborating across departments for practical and cost-effective solutions. Provide cross-functional leadership, continuous improvement and innovative ideas to support project delivery and technical excellence in engineering. The Right Person Your willingness to get hands on in a manufacturing and project environment will be complimented by the following: Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering. Hold CPEng, RPEQ & NER qualifications, and registration, along with 3 years proven experience in an Engineering position as a Chartered Professional Engineer. Knowledge of safety in design and Australian standards including but not limited to AS/NZS 1170, AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 5131. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
