SA State Government Agency looking for a Senior Data Engineer with data governance experience to work on a cloud related implementation project Our client is a great South Australian State Government administration, committed to improving south Australian clinician healthcare services. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with Data Governance experience to contribute to the implementation of a 3-year exciting road map. There have several customisation and internal cloud enhancement projects that will require the ability to identify the best way to pave data strategic governance with a slight hands-on approach, while keeping the clinicians, patients, and overall staff in mind. 5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week Adelaide CBD locations (2 days WFH allowed) Adelaide based candidates only. This role requires the candidate to be in the office every day due to critical hardware being based on different sites. $70 to $120 per hour base plus 11% superannuation on an hourly rate contract, 37.5 hours (15% casual loading included). The rate of pay is aligned with skills, experience, or expertise. The Data Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the Data and Analytics Platform through: Design, build and deploy data quality and data governance mechanisms within the Data and Analytics Platform that demonstrates leading Provide data governance and data catalogue SME inputs into a data catalogue market scan, providing requirements, weightings, and analysis of future state Provide SME input into data strategy and platform roadmap needs in the areas of data governance and data quality Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines within the Microsoft Azure Utilize Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Implement and manage data warehousing solutions using Azure and Snowflake data Work with common healthcare data models, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as HL7, FHIR, and Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide accessible, clean, and integrated data for advanced Optimize data storage and performance in Azure and Snowflake, managing both structured and unstructured data. Ensure data quality and integrity, implementing appropriate data governance and measures. Develop and maintain documentation for data models, data flow diagrams, and ETL Provide Advisory Services support to LHNs and other platform The Data Engineer will report directly to the Program Director and take direction from the common data model initiative Technical Lead, also engaging with: Members of the Project Business and Clinical units Technical and non-technical teams across our client's operations.
