The Role As a Principal Red Hat Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership, guidance, and expertise in managing our Red Hat infrastructure. You will be responsible for mentoring Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure engineers, providing technical leadership to application teams, and advancing troubleshooting capabilities across Red Hat and Linux environments. Key Responsibilities: Mentor and coach Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure engineers, fostering their professional development and technical growth. Provide guidance and leadership to application teams, ensuring alignment with infrastructure best practices and standards. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Red Hat infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements and regulatory compliance. Advance troubleshooting techniques and methodologies across Red Hat and Linux environments, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, plan, and implement infrastructure improvements and upgrades. Conduct regular performance analysis and optimization of Red Hat infrastructure components to enhance reliability and scalability. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Red Hat technologies, continually seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement. Participate in incident response and problem management activities, providing expertise and guidance to resolve complex issues effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry. Solid experience in mentoring and coaching Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure engineers, fostering their professional growth and development. Extensive expertise in Red Hat and Linux environments, with advanced troubleshooting skills across a variety of infrastructure components. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and technical leadership to application teams. Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, RHCA) preferred. Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
