The role of Surface Mount Technology - Process Engineer reports to the Production Manager and will be responsible for delivering quantifiable results within the areas of New Product Introduction, production support & process improvement. As a key member of the team, you will: Develop and maintain SMT manufacturing procedures & processes ensuring optimisation and productivity. Coach, develop and mentor manufacturing engineering and wider SMT teams. Lead and/or participate in capital development projects. Participate in new product introductions, liaise with stakeholders and work to project scope and timelines. Troubleshoot and document equipment and process failures, undertake RCA and corrective actions with stakeholders. Develop and implement scheduled maintenance programs ensuring uptime/optimisation of equipment. What makes a successful SMT Process Engineer within our team at Codan? To be successful in your application for this newly created position, you will ideally be a degree qualified Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer and have demonstrated experience within a complex SMT manufacturing assembly environment. Additionally, you will possess an in-depth background and understanding in Lean and Continuous Improvement activities coupled with high level communication skills to facilitate positive outcomes for all internal and external stakeholders.
