Summary Unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Experience on any of the following aircraft types: B737, A320, A330 Required: Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical and/or Avionics) or Australian recognised equivalent qualification. Required: Trade Certificate as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Avionics and or Structures) Required: Must hold Human Factors, EWIS & Fuel Tank Safety certificates Up to date logbook and/or history documentation is preferred Location: Melbourne Flexible start date Roster to allow for the work/life balance Pay rates: $48 - $60 per hour, excluding Super. General Description The purpose of this role is to help ensure commercial aircraft are safe and airworthy under the direction and supervisions of Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMEs) AME with Line, Intermediate or Base experience Responsibilities Include Work with due care and consideration to safeguard your own health and safety and the health and safety of others Work under the direction of a licensed aircraft engineer to carry out servicing and maintenance work. Perform routine and non-routine maintenance checks in line with the best industry practices Ensure work is completed in an efficient, effective, and timely manner Provide clear and timely communication updates to the LAMEs as required to support the operation Commitment to being customer focused with the flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required Line maintenance: Daily checks, weekly checks and A checks Assist with all routine and non-routine maintenance checks at main base, field locations and maintenance duties as established by the LAMEs Carry out maintenance operations in accordance with the Client's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (or equivalent manual) (MOE), and manufacturer's maintenance manuals with due regard to health and safety standards Provide positive and a supportive attitude to your team members and others Ensure timely and correct certification of all work carried out Carry out additional duties as requested by the LAMEs Comply with Client's Safety Management System Comply with all Client's training and compliance requirements Minimum Educational Qualifications Certificate IV in Aero skills (Mechanical) or Australian recognised equivalent qualification. Trade Certificate as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Avionics and or Structures) Documentation, certificates, and training evidence, suitably authorised and endorsed Experience on required aircraft types Minimum Previous Experience Compliance with all safe working practices and service standards Experience working under the direction of B1 and B2 LAMEs Relevant industry experience in aircraft maintenance Mechanical, Avionics and/or Structures experience preferred Engine or Component Maintenance experience preferred Sound knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulations Other Skills Highly developed attention to detail Excellent time management skills Ability to work shift work Strong worth-ethic and an inclusive mindset Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, effectively manage self and work as part of a team Interpersonal and intercultural awareness Thorough knowledge and understanding mechanical Maintenance procedures Have a proven commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain currency with respect to all relevant documentation and the revision status of company manuals
