Reporting to the GCAA Senior OT Engineer this role is responsible for delivering world class management and security of mission critical mining systems and the supporting networks used across Glencore Coal Assets Australia (GCAA) with a focus on sites in NSW. Your key responsibilities will include the implementation of GCAA standards for the operational technology (OT) networks. You will help to steward and support process control networks, SCADA, Fleet management, the GCAA engineering web portal and other online engineering systems across the coal business. You will be a member of the first response team for issues with the OT networks and applications, using your skills to rapidly restore functionality when issues arise. Working proactively, you will establish broad relationships such that you can effectively troubleshoot issues and influence outcomes. You will complete these duties with a focus on building the capacity of site resources to design, develop and maintain their Operational Technology infrastructure. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical role such as administering IP networks VLAN's and routing; Microsoft Active Directory and using Group Policy; firewall products; virtual environments; Rockwell or other PLC's as well as experience with industrial control systems with wired and wireless networks is essential. It would also be advantageous to hold a tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or other relevant field, at either Advanced Diploma or Bachelor level. Other qualifications and certifications such as those provided by CISCO, Fortinet, VMWare, Microsoft, Linux Foundation would be of benefit.
