Connect to your opportunity The Mobility Specialist role will be responsible for the management and delivery of the mobility platforms used within the UK firm. These are primarily platforms for Exchange content delivery (Email, Calendar, Contacts), but also extend to the delivery of applications and services delivered via mobile. The mobility area is a growing area, with increased uptake of mobile working with a view to extend the platform to deliver innovative ways of working for practitioners. Interfacing with the business for support and guidance is a key element of this role as well as working with Global initiatives. As the UK technical specialist, the role holder will be expected to provide technical guidance and technical leadership to team members, while interfacing with key underpinning platform owners such as unified communications. The EUT Mobility engineer should be well versed in the various technology areas with a view to supporting them, but is also expected to show leadership, creativity and problem solving in the system, process, and technology domains. The role requires an understanding of business requirements and how these translate into technology solutions, and you should be comfortable communicating clearly to colleagues, IT leadership and business practitioners. Essential skills In depth knowledge of Mobility platforms - Microsoft Intune, MDM Principles. Sound understanding of Exchange technologies. Sound understanding of policy setting and compliance monitoring. Understanding of key security products and their interactions Exposure to End User Technology concepts, systems and processes, including AD, GPO, MSI, Registry, OS Excellent documentation skills ITIL Experience/Qualification or equivalent Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems - Windows 10 and 11. Excellent knowledge of key Microsoft Applications. Support new customer requests through the creation of new processes and documentation and adapt to new feature capabilities. Also respond to customer requests for support. Develop and maintain Intune policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient and effective management of end-user devices. The ability to address infrastructure events that cause feature or system wide outages or negatively impact our ability to deliver services to customers. This includes working directly with the relevant internal teams and Microsoft to address infrastructure related issues. The ability to consult on other projects with a Mobility/Intune dependency and identify required changes side that may be required. Desirable skills Experience of deploying applications through SCCM. Experience with Operating System deployment, knowledge of WinPE, SCCM OSD and WIM image creation and deployment. Some experience of MSI application packaging, standards, process and best practices (Windows Installer, Microsoft ORCA). Knowledge of Windows scripting (VB Script, CMD, HTML, PowerShell and XML schemas) Citrix technology In depth understanding of different browser technologies, their management and how they interact with the operating system. Knowledge of server hardware set up, configuration, installation, implementation and support experience. Knowledge of SCOM or other systems management tools.
