Position Overview: We are currently undertaking Expression of Interest applications for Lead Marine Engineers who are interested in future opportunities located in Brisbane . As Lead Marine Engineer you will are responsible for overseeing and coordinating engineering activities related to the design and construction of marine structures and systems to support our clients within LNG/green hydrogen/ammonia/decarbonisation projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Oversee the design and analysis of marine structures, systems, and equipment to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements. Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the reliability and safety of marine engineering activities. Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations, codes, and industry standards. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Interface with the client, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to understand project requirements, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in marine engineering, incorporating innovations into project designs and processes. Skills & Experience Required: Bachelor's or masterâs degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Significant experience in marine engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing and leading engineering teams. Proficiency in marine engineering design software, knowledge of ship systems, propulsion, structural analysis, and familiarity with relevant industry standards. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with various stakeholders. Understanding of maritime regulations, classification rules, and industry standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. A commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Relevant certifications or memberships in professional organizations related to marine engineering.
