As the Data and Analytics Engineer (App), you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Analytics and Tag Management systems for our Qantas App and our across our Qantas Web and Qantas Group where applicable. You will work with key stakeholders across management and technical teams to ensure that our Data and Analytics implementations are best of class, enabling both Digital and Marketing teams to successfully track, analyse and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, feature developments, App health, Site Health, commercial revenue performance, customer journey mapping, conversion rate optimisation, A/B testing and experimentation. To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional experience as an App Engineer within the analytics space. You will have great stakeholder management skills to collaborate with teams across different business units, run training and workshops, and advocate for self-service analytics and reporting. You'll have - At least 2-3 years' experience in implementing Analytical and Tag Management Solutions across App and Web. Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of App SDK and Web SDK analytics tracking frameworks. Demonstrated experience in tools such as Firebase, Mixpanel, DataDog, GTM, Google Analytics, Adobe and similar platforms with a strong understanding of how to implement these tools within apps to track user interactions, events and other key metrics. Experience and understanding of App Development processes, frameworks and lifecycles. Strong attention to detail and a deep fluency in quantitative analysis with a passion for data-driven insights to help communicate and drive product, content, experimentation, and marketing outcomes. Experience with A/B, Multivariate and CRO testing. Ability to translate business requirements into efficient and reliable data solutions. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency with modern productivity tools such as Jira, Teams, Confluence, Slack. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R or Python is a plus. Knowledge of privacy legislation, consent management and privacy-first data encryption is desirable. Why Qantas?
