Working closely with a Business Partners and Data Analysts to understand their needs the Data Engineer is expected to quickly build expertise in 1 or more data subject areas / domains and to lead data warehouse development to provide the required data solutions and services. Reporting to the Lead Engineer - Data, this role will allow you to apply your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive a step change in Zurich’s data engineering and analytics capability. Important to your success - let's grow together Multiple years Development Experience in DW/BI development. Demonstrable experience in Data Modelling and Data Warehouse Design. End to end data warehousing experience; data modelling, ETL/ELT development, reporting and visualization. Experience in working with agile frameworks, agile at scale (SAFe) Experience in cloud data platforms and on-prem to cloud transition Thorough knowledge of data management and data warehousing principals and practice Ability to implement solutions according to formal development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum Experience in building cloud data solutions using DBT Experience in IDMC Experience in cloud data platforms- Snowflake and on-prem to cloud transition Knowledge of Insurance (Property / Casualty and/or Life and Investments) CI/CD experience an advantage.
