They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of our fleet. As part of the investment in our future, we have a fleet of new A320NEO's arriving from mid-2022 and we recently launched the Melbourne Engineering Precinct, which is the primary maintenance hub of our network. Our team has the opportunity to work not only on Jetstar aircraft, but also support Qantas Group A320/1, B717 and A321 Freighter aircraft and Jetstar Branded Airlines (JBA's) in Singapore and Japan. The Melbourne Precinct has also become the proud new home for our Apprentice Program. Reporting to the Engineering Systems Manager, your main responsibilities will include: Developing scripts and performing data migration related to fleet induction and/or transfers within the Qantas Group and/or other bulk data processing requirements. Investigating, validating, and resolving issues that compromises TRAX data and system integrity in a timely manner. Providing resolution or recommendation on TRAX issues requiring business/system process change. Conducting Systems and/or Business Analysis which includes user requirement gathering, process review, data mapping, system testing, development of user guides, and implementation of TRAX related projects. Designing and developing scripts to resolve data discrepancies caused by user errors, process inefficiency or system bugs. Designing and developing tools to assist users on complex and/or lengthy processes. Acting as a primary resource in projects related to Engineering MIS (TRAX). Managing Engineering MIS (TRAX) defects, patches, and modifications by working closely with the end-users, Product Owner, and coordinating with TRAX Corp. Assisting on Engineering MIS (TRAX) database maintenance and administration Coordinating with the 3rd party vendor service provider for systems integrated to Engineering MIS (TRAX). To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience: System Support/Administration/Analyst experience Experience in system upgrade and/or data migration (Desirable) Intermediary skills on Oracle P/L SQL, Power Apps, and/or Power BI. Familiarity in using API and/or web service (Desirable) Knowledge in Tomcat and/or Linux server configuration and troubleshooting. (Desirable) Knowledge/Experience on Spec 2K and/or AeroXchange (Desirable) Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or IT or relevant experience.
