Position Overview: As a Senior Cloud Engineer within the Operations and Technology department, you will play a crucial role in providing, managing, and supporting our technology services to meet the diverse needs of our business units. You will contribute to the strategic direction, design, and implementation of our technology infrastructure architecture, ensuring efficiency, high availability, and cost-effectiveness. Primary Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction, design, and input into our technology infrastructure architecture. Select, purchase, and deploy technology equipment and services. Manage and support our technology services to maintain high levels of availability, performance, capacity, security, and disaster recoverability. Offer advice on technology requirements and directions. Proactively support our Cloud services environment (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS), ensuring appropriate capacity and performance levels to meet business needs. Undertake Incident and Problem diagnosis for High Priority Incidents, providing resolution and escalated support for our IT systems and services. Review alerting and monitoring systems, taking action as necessary to ensure system stability and functionality. Manage, upgrade, and support Microsoft Desktop and Server standard operating environments (SOE). Key Capability Requirements: Degree in Information Technology or relevant recognized industry qualifications. 5-10 years of experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems, with experience in Cloud IT and Financial Services preferred. Technical Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Cloud technologies, including M365, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange Online, and Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS). Proficiency in PowerShell scripting. Experience with LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networking, and voice and video conferencing. Familiarity with technical security methods such as Firewalls, Antivirus, SIEM, and DLP. Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server SOE creation, maintenance, and deployment using Microsoft Intune. Experience with data loss protection, antivirus, and host intrusion protection.
