Recruitment Partners has been exclusively engaged by an instantly recognisable market leader in the construction industry to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer on a permanent basis. There will be parking on-site provided for the successful candidate, or alternatively their office is walking distance from all major public transport links. The company is a market leader in the construction sector, and they have been in the Australian market nearly 15 years with just over 200 employees. They boast very low staff turnover due to their fun and friendly culture. The company is extremely generous on staff development and invest heavily on career planning and training programs. They are looking for someone they can develop and mentor in this role. Given the nature of the business and support required, it is expected you'll be in the office 5 days per week. Your New Role: You'll deliver stable, secure and timely desktop support for client systems to internal users. You'll: Provide diagnosis, technical solutions and troubleshooting for desktops/laptops, telephony, mobile devices, printers, networks, and client systems; Provide end user Office 365 support; Set up & configure workstations, laptops, and peripherals; Systems maintenance & patching; Manage backup solutions; Involvement in IT procurement; Ensure up-to-date documentation in the ITSM tool; Assist with L1 Support when needed; and Support with infrastructure projects. You'll join a close-knit IT team that is humble and well regarded by the business. You'll be developed and mentored and have the opportunity to build your skills and learn new technologies. Skills & Experience Ideally you will have: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Service Desk or Desktop Support role; Office 365 skills; and Strong experience supporting desktops/laptops, telephony, mobile devices and printers. In addition to these technical responsibilities, you will possess: A fun, friendly, easy going and proactive personality with a passion for continuous self-improvement; A can-do attitude with a collaborative and collegiate approach; Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with staff across all levels of the business; A methodical approach to your work with a high attention to detail; and Strong business partnering, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
