POSITION OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer with an ICT, networking, or communications background to provide technical engineering expertise in the development and implementation of Control Centre communications and information systems. The role requires someone who is customer focused, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and can work collaboratively ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION Our client is an industry leader that provides communication and information solutions to Defence. They offer a range of products and services related to command and control, communication, and situational awareness. This includes systems for military communication, secure voice and data communication networks, command centre solutions, and integration of various Defence systems. Their technologies often focus on ensuring reliable and resilient communication and information exchange in mission-critical environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop technical expertise of products and processes. Analyse requirements and design engineering solutions. Install, deploy, configure, and integrate systems. Test and identify errors during software integration. Write technical document for systems and interfaces. Assist in analysing customer requirements and operational scenarios. Accept internal and external deliverables for assigned tasks. Conduct formal testing and acceptance activities. Travel to client sites in Australia. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1. Must be an Australian Citizen. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Software, Information Technology, communications or related discipline. Defence experience is highly desirable. Experienced in Systems Engineers, design, integration, and V&V. Experienced in software solutions, communication solutions, traceability processes and test engineering. Hands-on experience with specification, system installation, integration, and testing. Experience with Voice Communication Systems in a mission critical environment.
