Rio Tinto's Project Readiness & Delivery team is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer Project Delivery to join the Paraburdoo Operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The primary responsibility for this position will be to drive the execution plan of a project and manage coordination with other project disciplines to achieve successful project delivery. Reporting to the Superintendent Project Delivery, key accountabilities will be to: Apply Rio Tinto's Project Framework for full life cycle project management and delivery, including closure Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance Manage and coordinate multi-discipline engineering and procurement activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner Record and escalate any design, constructability or interface issuing arising Review design materials to ensure project needs are met and in line with project specifications Review and performance manage Contractor construction engineering planning and sequence of work packages Report on project progress, schedule and budgeting Undertaking quality Leadership in Field activities to review current activities, practices and processes, and identifying any gaps for improvement This permanent position will be offered on a fly in fly roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off, flying out of Perth, Western Australia and will suit someone living in Perth or willing to relocate to Perth on a permanent basis. Where you'll be working The role is Perth-based and with a focus on Rio Tinto's Pilbara assets, there is a requirement at times to travel to the Pilbara region of Western Australia. In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own a world-class, integrated network of 17 mines, four independent port terminals, a rail network spanning nearly 2,000 kilometres and related infrastructure - all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand. We are one of the world's leading producers and exporters of iron ore. About you To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: A degree qualification in Civil, Mining, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Certification in Project Management highly desirable Demonstrated experience in overseeing project delivery specific to mining and/or mineral processing or related industry Proven safety leadership skills in the mining or relevant industry Well-developed people influencing, engagement and communication skills in effective stakeholder management Strong technical knowledge of all phases of project engineering and management Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications Skills in SAP A current manual driver's licence Experience in overseeing contractor management highly desirable Experience in brownfields wet processing environment highly desirable What we offer Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress.
