You will own the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the team owned product and platforms as well as owning the growth and development of an engineering team. You will be empowered to make independent decisions for the team and partner effectively with product, and other teams in the business area. As a tech lead, you will write code represent the team, review and plan for feature deliveries, deal with the details of project management and help the developers in their careers. What you offer Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisation and have a desire to mentor less experienced members Experience leading a project from inception to production Strong background in Java; any other language is also a plus Solid knowledge in building scalable, maintainable and low latency web applications Experience on refactoring large code bases and sunsetting applications Experience tackling complex bug fixes Solid knowledge in software design, object orientation and web applications Computer science education or equivalent experience We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
