Wood is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals business based in Brisbane. This is opportunity is available on either a permanent or contract basis. Reporting to the Delivery Manager and working in support of a long-term Engineering Service Contract, you will create delivery excellence across the assigned project portfolio, provide certainty and confidence to the client / project sponsor, and maintain robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk. You will be responsible for: Specifying and coordinating the implementation and completion of moderate sized projects, a portfolio of small projects and / or major components of large projects. Safe delivery, ensuring quality, schedule and cost targets are met and managing associated risk mitigation. Delivery of project to agreed specifications, managing change and customer relationships, and ensuring appropriate reporting and governance is adhered to and controlled. You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia. Ideally you will be suitably qualified in Engineering from a recognised institution and have a 5 years of proven experience within the mining sector, including 3 years of relevant experience in a similar Project Management role. It is advantageous if you are a Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or hold an equivalent certification. In addition, you will have: Significant experience in project delivery management. Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles. Engineering project management experience with extensive knowledge Australian and International applicable codes and standards. Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements. Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs. A focus on delivering solutions and adept at managing a dynamic environment with varying tasks and changing and competing priorities.
