Melbourne or Adelaide 12 12 12 month contract (NV2 security clearance required) 3 years administering, managing and/or supporting Our client, a Federal Government entity focused on military technology is seeking Linux and Cloud Engineers . About the client They bring together interdisciplinary expertise from across Australia and around the world to address defence and national security challenges. Their role is to work closely with the Australian science, technology and innovation eco-system to deliver scientific advice and solutions that provide capability enhancement for defence and the national security community. Duties Linux Engineers (3 x positions) Linux/UNIX Administration in an Enterprise Environment CentOS, or RedHat, or Ubuntu High level skills and experience in Linux scripting in at least one of: bash, perl, python Cloud Engineers (2 x positions) Suitable knowledge and experience of Private Cloud technology (VMWare product suite) including automation and workflows Solid technical background in hosted services environments including hardware, software, virtualization, storage, and container orchestration Practical knowledge of Operating Systems - Windows Server 20xx, RHEL 8/9, Ubuntu 20/22 including tools for their administration Skills / Experience Sound interpersonal skills including the ability to work as a member of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at multiple organisational levels Internal and external customer relationship management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills How to apply To be considered for this role (JOB ID: 9254), please forward your resume to Eric by clicking the Apply for this Job button.
