The Role A skilled Senior Software Engineer is needed to work in a high performing development team in Digital Customer Tribe within Technology & Operations. Your role is to build Web applications, API or microservice capabilities for Digital Customer Tribe in support of key strategic initiatives. You will be an active contributor to the Agile software development lifecycle and be familiar with DevOps/Continuous Integration and production deployment processes. The role will also include leading systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support to ensure that the quality of the solutions and artefacts you produce meet the defined needs relative to Suncorp's environment. Key Responsibilities Lead design, development and implementation of consistent guidelines and frameworks that build quality, automation and security into Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration pipelines Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing automation, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration, config management and monitoring practices in teams across portfolio Provide guidance and feedback for delivery teams to implement best practices and operational requirements such as high availability, disaster recovery and security compliance Analyse system requirements and develop technical design Develop and maintains Digital applications Perform unit and integration testing on developed code including the execution of thorough and effective unit and system test plans and participate and/or support further testing phases Skills & Experience Full stack development expertise including previous working experience in a senior role (i.e. 3 years' experience leading/mentoring engineering teams) Strong programming skills and technical knowledge of React, Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Gradle or similar Experience supporting high availability production systems Experience in employing CI/CD techniques in utilising Serverless computing concepts and container platforms (ideally AWS and/or Openshift) Experienced in source code management, configuration management, build and dependency management tools, web frameworks, API frameworks & testing frameworks Excellent knowledge/experience in the application of Agile approaches Our Benefits Flexible working environment and arrangements; genuine focus on work-life balance Numerous discounts with our corporate partners (retail & shopping / travel & holiday / health & wellbeing) About Us Suncorp is a leading financial services provider in Australia and New Zealand, enabling more than nine million customers to better protect and enhance their financial wellbeing.
