About the role: Our client is a leading Australian Bank recognised for providing flexible and innovative advice and guidance for Australians. They are on the lookout for a Cyber Security Engineer with an intimate understanding of IT Security and a good grasp on technology and the components that underpin a modern SOC and ICT environment. You will be heavily involved in security tool deployments and advise on security best practices. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong Systems Administration background. Collaborate with internal teams to implement and support security compliance (PCI-DSS, Essential 8, CPS 234) Provide advice on SIEM management, infrastructure, log ingestion and normalisation in order to support the ongoing development of use cases and their dependencies. Develop and implement SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM integrations including threat intelligence feeds, authentication systems, and response systems (firewalls, proxies, etc). Maintain, deploy and support SIEM tools within the SOC. Contain and provide technical response to all information security incidents. Essential Experience Extensive experience in supporting Azure AD/Entra ID environments Extensive experience with Sentinel and Defender Experience with automating security tool deployment (Power Automate/Flow) Security control implementation What's in it for you?
