A hyper-growth, international, privately-owned FinTech business is looking for a DevOps Engineer with development skills for a newly created important role. Client Details A hyper-growth, international, privately-owned FinTech business based in Melbourne's Inner Eastern Suburbs. Description The DevOps Engineer will play a key role supporting customer facing and internally used platforms and applications. The role is a mix of software development and application configuration and support, ensuring seamless integration and reliable performance of existing and new solutions and platforms. This is not a senior role and suits someone with a number of years of experience with solid foundations and commercial working experience, looking for a unique opportunity to building and progress their career. More specifically the role will be responsible for: Designing, configuring building, testing and releasing new or existing solutions. Contributing to the development operation efforts including maintaining CI/CD pipelines for the automated build, test and deployment of applications. Administration of platforms and checking status health of applications and integrations including the underlying infrastructure. Implementing and managing tools for monitoring system health and security. Ensuring existing and new applications are secure. Profile You must be based in Melbourne with full working rights and willing to commute to work a couple of times each week. This role does not offer sponsorship You'll be an existing Developer with DevOps experience or a DevOps Engineer from a development background, who is confident and embraces ambiguity to solve complex challenges. You'll be used to working in small, scale-up, start-up environments and enjoy continuous improvement to improve and optimise platforms. Technical: Software Development Experience (Java or C++) including Integrations and API CI/CD pipeline building and implementation experience (BitBucket) Exposure to configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet) and container orchestration - Docker/Kubernetes Hands-experience with scripting languages (Python/Bash) and system monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK) Cloud Experience (Azure) Experience configuring, enhancing, administering and supporting business applications (ERP/CRM) Finance & Accounting or Mathematical background advantageous Behavioural: A passion for building quality software and owning solutions end to end You put yourself in the customer's shoes when thinking about a problem and its solution You're open-minded and adaptable in responding to new challenges and opportunities You demonstrate a love for continually learning and improving your skills and knowledge Solid written and verbal communication skills.
