Apply Full-time 12-month contract Flexible working locations of Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Modern building with state of the art facilities At Suncorp, we're seeking a Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering top-quality customer complaints data that drives our commitment to customers, communities, and shareholders. Your mission includes maintaining and evolving the Group Customer Advocate (GCA) data while assisting business analytics users in its efficient utilisation. This role encompasses the entire data life cycle, from collaborating with source systems and data teams to empowering our business analytics end users. In this dynamic and multifaceted role, you'll be responsible for data preparation, governance, and reporting. With data constantly evolving, your tasks involve integrating new data sources and facilitating and advising on month-end reporting. This includes handling complaints data, restructuring it, incorporating HR and product volume data, and managing external data uploads. What you'll do Manage monthly data processes, including external data extraction and daily updates Maintain and enhance data assets, ensuring alignment with established patterns Address source data issues and capitalize on data opportunities Document and oversee data processes, lineage, and dictionary integration Maintain a Risk, Actions, Issues, and Decisions (RAID) log Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize complaints data utilization and serve as an SME for productionizing complaints data, including external sources What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Analytics, Mathematics, Business, IT, or Engineering) desired 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in data-centric roles, focusing on data engineering or analytics across various data sources to address business challenges Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, and MS Excel Understanding of the end-to-end data journey from input to output Knowledge of project management practice Experience in complaints, risk management, and/or data governance What we can offer Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as banking and insurance products Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; and Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council Employee benefits | Suncorp Group
