My client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join the team. As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical support to our employees. Responsibilities: · Helpdesk Support: Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries and issues from employees in a timely and professional manner. This includes providing support for hardware, software, network, and other IT-related problems. · Hardware and Software Setup: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and other devices. Set up software applications and troubleshoot any compatibility or functionality issues. · Network Maintenance: Ensure the stability and security of our network infrastructure. Perform routine network monitoring, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and assist in maintaining network devices. · System Administration: Handle user account management, including user provisioning, access control, and password resets. Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal efficiency. · Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations to assist both the IT team and end-users. · End-User Training: Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their IT skills and improve their productivity. · IT Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, including hardware and software licenses, ensuring compliance and optimal utilization. · Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other IT team members and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and implement IT projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar role. Solid understanding of various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, both on-site and remotely. Familiarity with network technologies, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN. Knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g., Office 365, G Suite) and cloud computing concepts. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
