The Senior Systems Engineer will guarantee the dependable functioning, security, and optimal performance of the information systems crucial for supporting key organisational activities. Sitting in the Infrastructure Solutions Team, the position will begin as an initial 6-month contract. Client Details Our client is an enterprise freight company, specialising in the transport of natural resources across Australia. Description The primary deliverables for this role will include: Analysis of existing systems and identification of potential opportunities for improvement. Design & implement new services and technologies as required to meet requirements according to specific projects and broader organisational activities Integration of new systems within existing infrastructures, emphasising potential advantages to minimise disruption and downtime Work closely with project / program managers and business partners to understand, scope and document requirements to ensure services are fit for purpose. Profile The specific skills we're looking for: 5 or more year's experience in system engineering of IT services within an enterprise environment Proven experience in design, development & implementation of software systems, applications & infrastructure platforms Proven experience with systems planning, security principles & general software management best practice High level of working knowledge & experience in several of the following: Windows/Linux Server OS, VMWare Virtualisation, M365, Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID, Cisco ACI, Meraki SD-WAN, SCCM, Endpoint Manager, DevOps (Github, Jenkins) An understanding or experience in OT environments will be highly advantageous.
