Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Roster: Monday to Friday The Senior Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that technical solutions are safe, secure, and reliable. Collaborating with solution architects, product group, and operational SMEs, to design and implement safe and secure solutions, as well as conceptualize and implement safety assessments, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues and develop mitigation approaches. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain functional safety artefacts (Functional Safety framework, HAZID records, etc). Provide governance and reporting to adherence to relevant functional safety standards. Implement the functional safety framework that complies with industry standards and regulations for technology products being built by Autonomy. Create and maintain a technical framework for incident investigations. Facilitate and chair Functional safety assessments, risk assessments and hazard analysis to identify safety issues at a design level and provide remedial recommendations. Participate in incident response activities such as FMEAs to identify root cause of incidents involving the unified product. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field 5 years of experience in safety engineering, risk management, or a related field Deep understanding of safety regulations and standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
