The Desktop Support Engineers are responsible for providing a high level of support to Datacom across Australia and New Zealand. You'll work as part of a team to resolve incidents and problems that arise in the Desktop environment while providing support and advice to other areas as required. We’ll provide you with the support you need to help develop your career You’ll work with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to solve important problems About the Role As part of our Desktop Support Engineers team, you will work across the technical IT infrastructure and level 1 & 2 support space. Importantly, your role is to provide exceptional support across corporate hardware, systems and software for the Datacom Business. You'll enjoy solving problems, sharing your knowledge and liaising directly with customers at all levels Please note: this role requires Australian Government Security clearance, therefore you will already reside in Australia and be an Australian Citizen What you'll do Be the “go to” person for all things relating to technical support Troubleshoot problems, issues / faults and liaise with providers to resolve Monitor, follow up and advise users on the progress of outstanding support requests Be the escalation point for Client related technical queries, incidents, or problems Identify opportunities for technology innovation within or across Clients Provide ongoing mentorship to team members What you’ll bring Knowledge of desktop technologies and a thorough understanding of the troubleshooting process Confidence to engage with your clients, and talk them through issues that may arise or changes that can be made to provide business and technological benefits A commitment to training, up-skilling and professional development Strong Microsoft Office product knowledge Willingness to learn new skills Desirable but not essential: Administration of Windows Server MS server operating functions, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, ADFS, DHCP, DFS, Managing virtual environments utilising infrastructure such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V AWS and Azure certification Culture and Benefits Datacom is one of ANZs largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
